The small village- Short Story#48

Whitebridge was a small village, and old people often came and lived there. Some of them had a lot of old furniture, and they often did not want some of it, because they were in a smaller house now, so every Saturday morning they put it out, and other people came and looked at it, and sometimes they took it away because they wanted it .

Every Saturday, Mr and Mrs Morton put a very ugly old bear's head out at the side of their gate, but nobody wanted it. Then last Saturday, they wrote, 'I'm very lonely here. Please take me,' on a piece of paper and put it near the bear's head.

They went to the town, and came home in the evening.

There were now two bears' heads in front of their house, and there was another piece of paper. It said, 'I was lonely too.'

وایت بریج یک روستای کوچک بود، و سالمندان اکثرا می‌آمدند و در آنجا زندگی می‌کردند. بعضی از آن‌ها مقدار زیادی وسایل قدیمی داشتند، و بعضی از آن‌ها را نمی‌خواستند، برای اینکه حالا در خانه‌ی کوچکتری بودند، بنابراین هر شنبه صبح آن وسایل را بیرون می‌گذاشتند، و دیگران می‌آمدند و آن ها را نگاه می‌کردند و بعضی از وقت‌ها اون چیزی را که می‌خواستند برمی‌داشتند.

هر شنبه، آقا و خانم مورتون یک سر خرس - عروسکی  که خیلی زشت بود را در یک طرف دروازه می‌گذاشتند، اما کسی اونو نمی‌خواست. بنابراین شنبه‌ی گذشته، روی یک تکه کاغذ نوشتند «من اینجا خیلی تنها هستم. لطفاً مرا برگیرید» و آن نزدیک سر خرس گذاشتند.

آن ‌ها به شهر رفتند، و عصر به خانه برگشتند.

حالا دو تا سر خرس - عروسکی  در جلو خانه وجود داشت، و همچنین یک تکه کاغذ دیگه که بر روی نوشته بود، «من هم تن‌ها بودم»

The Teacher and children- Short Story#47

Miss Williams was a teacher, and there were thirty small children in her class. They were nice children, and Miss Williams liked all of them, but they often lost clothes.

It was winter, and the weather was very cold. The children's mothers always sent them to school with warm coats and hats and gloves. The children came into the classroom in the morning and took off their coats, hats and gloves. They put their coats and hats on hooks on the wall, and they put their gloves in the pockets of their coats.

Last Tuesday Miss Williams found two small blue gloves on the floor in the evening, and in the morning she said to the children, 'Whose gloves are these?', but no one answered.

Then she looked at Dick. 'Haven't you got blue gloves, Dick?' she asked him.

'Yes, miss,' he answered, 'but those can't be mine. I've lost mine'.

خانم ویلیامز یک معلم بود، و سی کودک در کلاسش بودند. آن‌ها بچه‌های خوبی بودند، و خانم ویلیامز همه‌ی آن‌ها را دوست داشت، اما آن ها اغلب لباس ها ی خود را گم می کردند.

زمستان بود، و هوا خیلی سرد بود. مادر بچه ها همیشه آنها را با کت گرم و کلاه و دستکش به مدرسه می فرستادند. بچه ها صبح داخل کلاس می آمدند و کت، کلاه و دستکش هایشان در می آوردند. آن ها کت و کلاهشان را روی چوب لباسی که بر روی دیوار بود می‌گذاشتند، و دستکش ها را نیز در جیب کتشان می ذاشتند.

سه شنبه گذشته هنگام غروب خانم ویلیامز یک جفت دستکش کوچک آبی بر روی زمین پیدا کرد، و صبح روز بعد به بچه ها گفت، این دستکش چه کسی است؟ اما کسی جوابی نداد.

در آن هنگام به دیک نگاه کرد و از او پرسید. دیک، دستکش های تو آبی نیستند؟

او پاسخ داد. بله، خانم ولی این ها نمی تونند برای من باشند. چون من برای خودمو گم کردم.

Alexander Fleming- Short Story#46

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.

"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life."

"No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked. "Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education.
If the lad is anything like his father, he'll grow to a man you can be proud of."

And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London , and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the nobleman's son was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved him? Penicillin.

الکساندر فلمینگ

کشاورز فقیر اسکاتلندی بود و فلمینگ نام داشت. یک روز، در حالی که به دنبال امرار معاش خانواده اش بود، از باتلاقی در آن نزدیکی صدای درخواست کمک را شنید، وسایلش را بر روی زمین انداخت و به سمت باتلاق دوید.  پسری وحشت زده که تا کمر در باتلاق فرو رفته بود، فریاد می زد و تلاش می کرد تا خودش را آزاد کند. فارمر فلمینگ او را از مرگی تدریجی و وحشتناک نجات می دهد.

روز بعد، کالسکه ای مجلل به منزل محقر فارمر فلمینگ رسید. مرد اشراف زاده خود را به عنوان پدر پسری معرفی کرد که فارمر فلمینگ نجاتش داده بود.

 اشراف زاده گفت: " می خواهم جبران کنم ". "شما زندگی پسرم را نجات دادی".

کشاورز اسکاتلندی جواب داد: " من نمی توانم برای کاری که انجام داده ام پولی بگیرم". پیشنهادش را نمی پذیرد. در همین لحظه پسر کشاورز وارد کلبه شد.

اشراف زاده پرسید: " پسر شماست؟"

کشاورز با افتخار جواب داد:"بله"

با هم معامله می کنیم. اجازه بدهید او را همراه خودم ببرم تا تحصیل کند. اگر شبیه پدرش باشد، به مردی تبدیل خواهد شد که تو به او افتخار خواهی کرد. پسر فارمر فلمینگ از دانشکده پزشکی سنت ماری در لندن فارغ التحصیل شد. همین طور ادامه داد تا در سراسر جهان به عنوان سر الکساندر فلمینگ کاشف پنسیلین مشهور شد.

سال ها بعد، پسر اشراف زاده به ذات الریه مبتلا شد.

چه چیزی نجاتش داد؟ پنسیلین.

THE APPLE TREE- Short Story#45

 

Peter climbed the wall to reach the apples that were growing on the apple tree on the other side of the wall. He picked half-a-dozen and hid them in his pockets.

 

As he was jumping down again he slipped and fell. The fruit in his pockets was squashed. He did not hurt himself, but he could not eat the apples either. He ran home and quickly washed his trousers before his mother would find out what had happened

 

درخت سیب

پیتر از دیوار برای دسترسی به سیب هایی که روی درخت آن طرف دیوار روییده بودند بالا رفت.  او نیم جین چید و در جیبش مخفی کرد.

هنگامی که می‌خواست دوباره پایین بیاید پایش سر خورد و افتاد. میوه در جیبش له شد. او به خودش صدمه نزد، اما هرگز نتوانست سیب‌ها را بخورد. او دوید خانه و قبل از اینکه مادرش بفهمد چه اتفاقی افتاده است به سرعت شلوارش را شست.

Three Rooms in Hell- Short Story#44

A man dies and goes to Hell. The Devil meets him at the gates and says  "There are three rooms here. You can choose which one you want to spend eternity in ". The Devil takes him to the first room where there are people hanging from the walls by their wrists and obviously in agony.
 The Devil takes him to the second room where the people are being whipped with metal chains. The Devil then opens the third door, and the man looks inside and sees many people sitting around, up to their waists in garbage, drinking cups of tea. The man decides instantly which room he is going to spend eternity in and chooses the last room. He goes into the third room, picks up his cup of tea and the Devil walks back in saying  "Ok, guys, tea break’s over, back on your heads! "

سه اتاق در جهنم
مردی مرد و به جهنم رفت. دیو جهنم او در محل ورود دید و گفت: اینجا سه اتاق وجود دارد. شما می‌توانید هر کدام را که می‌خواهید انتخاب کنید و تا ابد در آن زندگی کنید. دیو او را به اتاق اول برد جایی که مردم در آن جا از مچ دست آویزان بودند و آشکار در عذاب بودند.
دیو او را به اتاق دوم برد جایی که مردم در حال کتک خورد با زنجیرهای آهنی بودند. دیو در سوم را باز کرد، و مرد به داخل نگاه کرد و دید مردم زیادی دور هم نشسته‌اند و از کمر به بالا در زباله ، در حال خوردن چای، مرد بی درنگ تصمیم گرفت که در کدام اتاق می خواهد مادام العمر بماند و آخرین اتاق را انتخاب کرد. او به داخل اتاق سوم رفت، فنجان چایش را برداشت و دیو برگشت و گفت: خوب پسرا، وقت استراحت تموم، سراتونو برگردونید تو آشغالا.

The palace is California- Short Story#43

The year is 1853, and the palace is California. People are coming to California from many countries. They are looking for gold. They think that they are going to get rich. Levi Strauss is one of these people .He’s twenty-four years old, and he too want to get rich .He is from Germany. He has cloth from Germany to make tents for the gold miners.

A man asks him: “What are you going to do with that cloth?”

Strauss answers: “I’m going to make tents”

The man says: “I don’t need a tent, but I want a strong pair of pants. Look at my pants they’re full of holes.”

Levi makes a pair of pants from the strong cloth. The man is happy with the pants. They’re a big success. Soon everyone wants a pair of pants just like the man’s pair. Levi makes one more, ten more hundreds more thousands more. That’s the history of your jeans.

سال 1853  مردم از برخی کشورها به کالیفرنیا می آمدند.آنها به دنبال طلا میگشتند.آنها به پولدار شدن فکر میکردند.لیوای استروس یکی از آنها بود.او 24 سال داشت و آلمانی تبار بود و نیز مانند بقیه به دنبال پولدار شدن و کشف طلا...

 او پارچه ای از کشور آلمان برای ساخت چادر - خیمه گاه  در معدن طلا با خود آورده بود.

مردی از او پرسید: میخواهی با این پارچه چه کار کنی؟

او گفت: میخواهم چادر - خیمه گاه  بسازم.

مرد گفت: من به چادر نیاز ندارم اما من یک شلوار خیلی مقاوم لازم دارم!

شلوار من رو نگاه کن.پر از سوراخ است!

 لیوای استروس شلواری از آن پارچه ی مقاوم ساخت.آن مرد بابت شلوار خوشحال شد. آنها به یک موفقیت بزرگ دست پیدا کردند.به زودی تک تک مردم خواستار شلواری فقط با جنس آن پارچه ی آلمانی شدند! لیوای از آن شلوار ده ها ، صد ها و هزار ها ساخت. و این بود داستان ساخت و پیدایش شلوار جین شما!

Carolwas nineteen- Short Story#42

Mr and Mrs Yates had one daughter. Her name was Carol, and she was nineteen years old. Carol lived with her parents and worked in an office. She had same friends, but she did not like any of the boys very much.

Then she met a very nice young man. His name was George Watts, and he worked in a bank near her office. They went out together quite a lot, and he came to Carol's parents' house twice, and then last week Carol went to her father and said, 'I'm going to Marry George Watts, Daddy. He was here yesterday.'

'Oh, yes,' her father said. 'He's a nice boy-but has he got any money?'

'Oh, men! All of you are the same,' the daughter answered angrily. 'I met George an the first of June and on the second he said to me, "Has your father got any money?".

آقا و خانم یاتس یک دختر داشتند. اسم او کارول بود، و 19 سالش بود. کارول با والدینش زندگی و در یک اداره کار می‌کرد. او چندین دوست داشت، اما او هیچکدام از پسرها را خیلی دوست نداشت.

در آن زمان او یک مرد جوان مؤدب را ملاقات کرد. نام او جرج وات بود، و او در یک بانک نزدیک اداره او کار می‌کرد. آن‌ها اکثرا با هم بیرون می‌رفتند، و او دو بار به خانه‌ی والدین کارول رفت، و هفته‌ی گذشته کارول پیش پدرش رفت و گفت، "پدر، من قصد دارم با جرج وات ازدواج کنم. او دیروز اینجا بود"

The captain and his small ship- Short Story#41

The cautious captain of a small ship had to go along a coast with which he was unfamiliar , so he tried to find a qualified pilot to guide him. He went ashore in one of the small ports where his ship stopped, and a local fisherman pretended that he was one because he needed some money. The captain took him on board and let him tell him where to steer the ship.

 

After half an hour the captain began to suspect that the fisherman did not really know what he was doing or where he was going so he said to him,' are you sure you are a qualified pilot?

 

'Oh, yes' answered the fisherman .'I know every rock on this part of the coast.'

 

Suddenly there was a terrible tearing sound from under the ship.

 

At once the fisherman added," and that's one of them."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

نا خدای هوشیار یک کشتی کوچک مجبور بود در امتداد ساحل دریایی که نمی شناخت حرکت کند،بنابراین او تلاش کرد تا یک ناخدای آشنا به آنجا برای راهنمایی پیدا کند.او کنار یکی از بندرهای کوچکی که کشتی اش توقف کرد ایستاد؛ و یک ماهیگیر محلی چون به پول احتیاج داشت طوری وانمود کرد که یک راننده کشتی ماهر است. نا خدا او را سوار کشتی کرد و به او اجازه داد تا بگوید کشتی را به کجا براند.

 

بعد از نیم ساعت نا خدا گمان کرد که ماهیگیر واقعا نمی داند چه کار دارد می کند یا به کجا می رود پس به او گفت:"ایا تو مطمئنی که ناخدای ماهرهستی؟

 

ماهیگیر جواب داد:" بله"."من هر سنگ این بندر از کنار دریا را می شناسم".ناگهان صدای پاره شدن از زیر کشتی آمد. سرانجام ماهیگیر افزود:"و آن هست یکی از آن سنگ ها."

Harry's feet- Short Story#40

One of Harry's feet was bigger than the other. 'I can never find boots and shoes for my feet,' he said to his friend Dick.
'Why don't you go to a sho~maker?' Dick said. 'A good one can make you the right shoes.'
'I've never been to a shoemaker,' Harry said. 'Aren't they very expensive?'
'No,' Dick said, 'some of them aren't. There's a good one in our village, and he's quite cheap. Here's his address.' He wrote something on a piece of paper and gave it to Harry.
Harry went to the shoemaker in Dick's village a few days later, and the shoemaker made him some shoes.
Harry went to the shop again a week later and looked at the shoes. Then he said to the shoemaker angrily, 'You're a silly man! I said, "Make one shoe bigger than the other," but you've made one smaller than the other!'

یکی از پاهای هری از دیگری بزرگ تر بود. او به دوستش دیک گفت 'من هرگز نمی توانم چکمه یا کفشی برای پاهایم پیدا کنم'.
دیک گفت: 'چرا پیش کفاش نمی روی' 'یک کفاش خوب می تواند کفش خوبی برای شما درست کند'.

The butterfly- Short Story#39

A small crack appeared on a cocoon. A man sat for hours and watched carefully the struggle of the butterfly to get out of that small crack of cocoon.

 Then the butterfly stopped striving. It seemed that she was exhausted and couldn’t go on trying. The man decided to help the poor creature. He widened the crack by scissors. The butterfly came out of cocoon easily, but her body was tiny and her wings were wrinkled.

 The ma continued watching the butterfly. He expected to see her wings become expanded to protect her body. But it didn’t happen! As a matter of fact, the butterfly had to crawl on the ground for the rest of her life, for she could never fly.

 The kind man didn’t realize that God had arranged the limitation of cocoon and also the struggle for butterfly to get out of it, so that a certain fluid could be discharged from her body to enable her to fly afterward.

 Sometimes struggling is the only thing we need to do. If God had provided us with an easy to live without any difficulties then we become paralyzed, couldn’t become strong and could not fly.

 

 

شکاف کوچکی بر روی پیله کرم ابریشمی ظلاهر شد. مردی ساعت ها با دقت  به تلاش پروانه برای خارج شدن از پیله نگاه کرد. پروانه دست از تلاش برداشت. به نظر می رسید خسته شده و نمی تواند به تلاش هایش ادامه دهد. او تصمیم گرفت به این مخلوق کوچک کمک کند. با استفاده از قیچی شکاف را پهن تر کرد. پروانه به راحتی از پیله خارج شد ، اما بدنش کوچک و بال هایش چروکیده بود.مرد به پروانه همچنان زل زده بود . انتظار داشت پروانه برای محافظت از بدنش بال هایش را باز کند. اما این طور نشد. در حقیقت پروانه مجبور بود باقی عمرش را روی زمین بخزد، و نمی توانست پرواز کند.

مرد مهربان پی نبرد که خدا محدودیت را برای پیله و تلاش برای خروج را برای پروانه بوجود آورده. به این صورت که مایع خاصی از بدنش ترشح می شود که او را قادر به پرواز می کند.

بعضی اوقات تلاش و کوشش تنها چیزی است که باید انجام دهیم. اگر خدا آسودگی بدون هیچگونه سختی را برای ما مهیا  کرده بود در این صورت فلج می شدیم و نمی توانستیم نیرومند شویم و پرواز کنیم Normal0falsefalsefalseEN-USX-NONEAR-SA
